Community Involvement

We, at AIS, are proud to support our local community and charitable organizations throughout the country. Below is a list of organizations we support as a corporation along with charities individually supported by our employees. Corporate Sponsorship

The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. ALSA covers all the bases — research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy — in providing help and hope to those facing the disease.

Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan was created in 1993 to fill a critical gap in West Michigan health care—the need for a hospital devoted to infants, children and adolescents. We are a regional referral center dedicated to improving the health and lives of children and families.

Kids’ Food Basket is a force for "Attacking Childhood Hunger in greater Grand Rapids." We began over nine years ago by serving 125 kids each school day through our Sack Supper program and now serve over 4,800 kids each day.

Employee Involvement

The A-T Children's Project raises funds to support and coordinate first-rate biomedical research projects, scientific conferences, and a clinical center aimed at finding a cure or life-improving therapies for ataxia-telangiectasia, a lethal genetic disease that attacks children, causing progressive loss of muscle control, immune system problems, and a strikingly high rate of cancer, especially leukemia and lymphoma.

Boys & Girls Clubs subscribe to the theory that programs should provide youth with a Sense of Belonging, a Sense of Usefulness, a Sense of Competence, and a Sense of Power or Influence. When this has been established, the self-esteem of youth will be enhanced.

Catholic Charities West Michigan provides help for individuals and families throughout the 11-county Diocese of Grand Rapids, regardless of their background or religion. We work to help change the lives of those most in need. We seek to improve the lives of our clients and empower them to achieve their goals. Our goal is to create a nurturing and safe family environment for both children and adults as well as improving our community through specific outreach.

At Family Promise we provide hospitality to homeless families and keep them together in a time of crisis. We assist families during temporary periods of homelessness, encourage them to create an achievable vision and develop a strong foundation for self-sufficiency.

D.A. Blodgett - St. John’s is a 125-year-old agency that works in partnership with our community for the good of all children. We are local, non-profit and accredited. We provide inclusive services to children and families, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, foster care, adoption, and family support, as well as residential treatment and emergency shelter care at St. John’s Campus.
